Whew. Okay, that was harder than I expected. In fact, I’m about to leave early because I can’t sustain any longer. Started at 9:10 am, went until 10:45pm. Thanks to Pilar Alessandra & On The Page for providing the space, the coffee and facilitating, along with several assistants and, of course, Pat Francis. I got here with 20 pages of my thriller feature done. I stand now at 42 pages, plus I did a little scene rewrite in my Daddy’s Girl pilot, adding a little more suspense.

I spent the breaks mostly reading through Dan O’Bannon’s Guide to Screenplay Structure, co-written by a friend, Matt R. Lohr

I wish I’d gotten more done. My original plan was to finish the feature today, but after 6pm, it got increasingly harder to concentrate and keep telling story. I actually felt like I needed a nap at 5:30. How old am I?

I pushed through however, and actually had a very emotional moment myself while writing one for my characters. I’ve heard of that happening to other people, but it’s never hit me as hard as it did today, with this death scene.

Time to call it a night, but a day well spent.
