Today was a pretty good day! Worked my survival job just long enough to get everything done, then headed over to Warner Brothers to meet my friend Doug. We were invited to a special taping of the Star Wars preview episode of Conan. Not live with the stars, unfortunately, they were all on tape, but we were there to provide audience reaction and such. Well, they had 2 tapings planned, and we were able to get tickets to both – tonight’s and Thursday’s (Star Wars).

Once we grabbed the tickets, we headed over to the Dog Haus, on my roommate Sam’s recommendation. It was a little pricey, but awesome. They use Hawaiian sweet bread for their buns.

Then headed back to Warner Brothers. Since the Star Wars episode was all pre-taped, we opted to get really good seats for the live to tape episode, which featured Andy Serkis (Gollum, Caesar, King Kong) and Krysten Ritter, from Jessica Jones. Had a great time, and even got personally serenaded by Conan himself!

Then we filed out and a few minutes later, headed back in for the secret Star Wars taping. Of course, it was the coldest day so far this year, but they were nice enough to offer us hot chocolate.

Had a blast at the second taping too, and got free Conan Star Wars t-shirts. Afterwards, Doug and another friend, Luis, headed down to Hollywood to try and catch The Force Awakens premiere – So secret that they closed off more than usual of Hollywood Boulevard (seriously, why don’t they just make that a giant sidewalk?) – and found out that the premiere was in THREE different theaters. All of the speculation had been correct. And security was tighter than a drum.

All in all, a pretty great day!
