David Dean Bottrell started his career as an actor, but after writing an award winning play, made his move to Hollywood as a writer and broke in with his movie Kingdom Come.
In 2004, he was contacted by a casting director who remembered him and asked to him to read for a small role on Boston Legal. He turned them down, but the CD was persistent that it would only be one day, please come in. He finally relented and came in.
Eight episodes later, his character, Lincoln Meyer was killed with an arrow, but Bottrell’s acting career had been reborn.
