Today in 2008, the WGA Writers Strike ended after 100 days, one of the longest Hollywood walkouts ever. While I’m proud of the Guild for standing up for their members’ rights against studio greed, it should also be noted that the strike cost the LA economy an estimated $3-Billion, and the repercussions in all areas of entertainment are still being felt 5 years later.
